IC CHARACTERISTICS: Information for players.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: deep olive skin, lots of tattoos, frequently 'alternative' hairstyles, gauged ears. ignacio is tall (6'1" 1/2)and muscular (190lbs) but his mannerisms tend toward femme. his voice is deep and slightly cuban accented. dress tends to be trendy but more alternative than fashionable; 'hipster'ish
DEMEANOR: ignacio identifies most often as genderqueer. he can also be found going by the street name 'alice' due to his use of his magic to create substances that he passes off as street drugs. too clever for his own good and sharp around the edges. tends toward the cynical but can be naive due to an altruistic and idealistic streak. has a habit of biting his nails and sucking his teeth. does smoke swisher sweets and often keeps them in a silver cigarillo box, but is trying to quit. puts too much sugar in his coffee.
PHYSICAL CONTACT: ignacio is usually ebullient and physically demonstrative. however, he will also avoid people's personal space unless he knows he's permitted into it. can be standoffish this way.
FLIRTING: if ignacio is talking, he's flirting. if you're talking to ignacio, he thinks you're flirting.
RELATIONSHIPS: ignacio is currently open for dating people of any gender. he has hooked up with audrey. at least once in boston and once in siren's cove.
HOME INFORMATION: ignacio lives in a cheaper part of town, in an apartment above the retail space he uses for his shop, 'witch flavor'
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: racism, transphobia, homophobia, gentrification, war on drugs, misogyny, disrespect of sex workers. ignacio gets bristly in general around upper middle class people.
ABILITIES: ceramics. perfumery. candle-making. soap-making.
POWERS: ignacio has the ability to manifest his strong emotions as a magical substance extruded from the ears/nose/mouth/sweat glands, etc. the emotion is distilled into a strong form in that substance, which will, on contact with skin or mucous membranes of himself or other people, cause the physiological reactions of that emotion (love/fear/jealousy/rage/despair/etc.) ignacio can't always control the production of this substance, but he does save it and use it in concoctions. he will only use these without permission if it's to protect himself for whatever reason. otherwise he treats his abilities with respect and a small degree of fear and discomfort.

MENTAL: yes. i only require ooc clearance in extreme cases.
FIGHTING/VIOLENCE: yes. i only require ooc clearance if there will be more than black eyes or broken noses.
LURING: extremely vulnerable. i am fine with siren powers.
MAGIC: magic can be used on ignacio with ooc clearance required only in extreme cases. ignacio is very vulnerable to emotion-manipulating magics, he is slightly resistant to mind-reading and psychometry, etc, as his own abilities tend to interfere with these things.
OTHER / NOTES: ignacio is a (magical) drug dealer/drug user. be aware for those with triggers related to drug use. also be aware of the nature of his magical abilities for those with contamination phobias.

RESIDENCE

Ignacio lives in a cheaper part of town. He rents an apartment above a retail space and the retail space below, out of which he runs his shop, Witch Flavor, which caters to the New Age and alternative crowds. He shares the retail space with others who are willing to work out of the back rooms a few days a week.

OTA - call it religion

The mouth of the alley was out of the way, a perfect spot for this.

"Jesus, Gary, we talked about this." Ignacio licked his lips; they were dry from excitement.

Gary was unrelenting, and stared at Ignacio out of pale eyes beneath a brow that was too heavy for his otherwise thin face. Prick, Ignacio thought, but Gary was the most useful prick he knew, and that was why he couldn't quit seeing his face around.

"Fine," Ignacio finally ground out between his molars, and dug a little too vehemently into his pockets. A moment later, he handed over a rolled up wad of cash. It was wound around Ignacio's signature, a dainty little glass bottle with a cork stopper in it. It had a hand-labelled, fanciful little tag. Drink Me, it suggested, cheery and sweet.

Gary took it all and stashed it away with greedy hands. Prick. Ignacio was parting with more money than he was generally comfortable with, on account of that he usually thought that luxury items were the devil and people who forked over loads of cash more for things than they were worth were idiots.

So today Ignacio was an idiot.

Gary shuffled off in the other direction down the alley, leaving Ignacio with his spoils. He leaned against the side of his shitty, ancient red Chevy Cavalier. It was warm against the seat of his pants in the summer sunshine, glaring down from above at its slightly afternoon angle.

"This is the best day of my life this month," he said, lifting the cassette tape from its brown paper bag and holding it up to the light like a fine piece of jewelry.

It was a copy of The Offspring's 1986 demo tape and now it was Ignacio's.
