"That's true enough," Ignacio says. He makes a show of opening the menu, glancing over it, and handing it back. He gives it a little waggle, intent on having it picked up when his order is taken. It seems pretty obvious th other guy doesn't want to chat much, and is doing it purely to be polite.

But he hasn't brushed Ignacio off directly yet, and that makes Ignacio want to try to get beneath that cool politeness, and the tension in his shoulders.

"Loaded french fries?" he asks, and adds, "And maybe your name?"
